Drug information

How long a drug/pharmaceutical can be traced in urine depends upon a number of different factors:

  • The level of intake.
  • How it has been taken. Orally, nasally or by injection.
  • How long has it been used for, sporadically or over a longer period of time.
  • Individual factors.
  • How many times one has urinated before the test takes place.

Period drugs can be detected (in urine):


Cannabis 1-3 days, up to 3 months.
Amphetamines 1-7 days
Ecstasy 2-4 days
Cocaine 2-4 days
PCP, phencyclidine a couple of days
Opiates 1-3 days
Methadone 1-2 weeks
Benzodiazepines 1-5 weeks
Dextropropoxyphene 2-7 days
Barbiturates 2-4 days
