How?

It is of the utmost importance that every step taken in the process is documented and verified thoroughly so that neither the test nor the person being tested shall come under suspicion in any way. A random sample is carried out computer generated and without name details. The drug testers come to the workplace unannounced and carry out the drug tests in accordance with European guidelines and agreed standards. The documentation together with the sealed A and B tests are sent on to the laboratory for screening. If the result of the analysis is negative, it is sent on the company’s contact person. If the result is positive a confirmatory test must be carried out for verification. If the confirmation test is also positive it will be interpreted and evaluated by an independent Medical Review Officer (MRO). Marconova follows the chain from testing to test answers in order to guarantee the quality of each step.

MRO

If a drug test is positive even after the verification analysis the test must be evaluated by an Independent Medical Review Officer (MRO). This is a doctor who is specially trained in these issues and handles such matters frequently. Marconova uses several different MROs in Sweden. Marconova even has its own staff with MRO training in order to guarantee the best possible proficiency.
